Neuropathy, also known as peripheral neuropathy, is a condition that results from damage to the peripheral nerves, which are responsible for transmitting sensory information from the body to the brain and vice versa. This damage can be caused by a variety of factors, including diabetes, chemotherapy, physical trauma, and autoimmune diseases. Neuropathy can lead to a range of symptoms, including numbness, tingling, pain, and muscle weakness.
One potential treatment for neuropathy is the use of stem cells. Stem cells are special cells that have the ability to develop into many different types of cells in the body. The stem cells that we use are called mesenchymal stem cells and they are received from accredited, FDA-approved tissue banks.
Stem cells, specifically mesenchymal stem cells, have shown promise in the treatment of neuropathy. When injected into damaged or degraded tissue, stem cells into damaged nerve tissue have been shown to promote the growth of new nerve fibers and improve sensory and motor function.
